As McCarthy’s longest-serving Territory Manager, Gord has been supporting veterinarian clinics in Alberta for over eight years. A true 
team player, Gord has stepped up to help his McCarthy colleagues working with clinics in BC and across the Prairies.

If you’ve had the pleasure of working with Gord, you know he’s an expert – especially when it comes to our equipment offering. What you may not have known is that Gord’s expertise is all self-taught, earned through hard work and tireless dedication.

Prior to joining McCarthy, Gord worked with both CTV and CBC in his 19 year career as a Broadcast Engineer. (One of the highlights of his career was working alongside Peter Mansbridge covering the 1997 Winnipeg flood.) A career in broadcasting ultimately requires frequent moves, though, and Gord decided that constantly uprooting his family was too much.

As a life-long animal lover, Gord was drawn to the veterinary industry where he could lend his talents to help clinics provide the best care for their pets. Having lived in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and BC, Gord joined McCarthy and settled in Alberta. 

When Gord isn’t doting on his Shih Tzu/Bichon cross, Bella, you’ll find him enjoying his other passion – music. An accomplished drummer, Gord is the backbone of his band, the Prairie Dawgs.
