Tyler

Armstrong, RVT

Territory Manager - SW Ontario

Tyler has always loved animals and genuinely loves the work she does because it allows her to connect with veterinary teams in a meaningful and personalized way.

Tyler grew up riding horses in her hometown near London, Ontario. Her equestrian adventures meant travelling far and wide, including a ride through the Arizona desert.

Tyler’s post-secondary education began with her obtaining an advanced Diploma in Business Administration and Management. After entering the workforce, though, she still found herself drawn to the world of veterinary medicine. Despite her ongoing commitment to leverage connections in the business world to provide financial support through donations to support local Humane Societies, Tyler knew she wanted to be more involved.

Working outside of the veterinary industry, Tyler earned her RVT designation and began the next stage of her life as a vet tech. She worked in many clinics, but it was in an emergency clinic where she felt she was most fulfilled as she had the opportunity to care for so many different species including rabbits, reptiles and ferrets. Wanting to combine her education and experience, she left clinic life and joined McCarthy Veterinary Supplies.

Tyler genuinely loves the work she does because it allows her to connect with veterinary teams in a meaningful and personalized way. She recognizes that every hospital, clinic, and individual she supports is unique, and she takes the time to understand their workflow, challenges, goals, and preferences. By learning about each business, Tyler is able to provide customized, practical recommendations that align with their needs and support their success.

Travelling to clinics, meeting new people, and seeing adorable patients, staff pets, and clinic cats is an added bonus that keeps her work fun and rewarding. Tyler finds the greatest satisfaction in knowing she can make a real impact on clinic efficiency and cost management through tailored solutions—whether that’s equipment, everyday consumables, or the Rafter8 line of pharmaceuticals.

She also feels incredibly fortunate to work with a supportive and dedicated team, making each workday not only productive, but fulfilling.

Outside of work, Tyler is the proud mom of two busy little boys. Tyler also has a Beta Fish named Turbo, and a Leopard Gecko named Pancake!
