When Kevin joined McCarthy, he had no prior experience in the veterinary industry. Since then, he’s developed a deep appreciation and respect for the veterinary community who work so tirelessly in caring for animals.

Kevin’s passion for team building and helping others succeed has had a distinct impact on McCarthy. With over 25 years of experience working with small businesses, he loves watching people grow and seeing them achieve their goals. 

One of Kevin’s biggest rewards is helping ensure team members thoroughly enjoy their roles and are proud of their work. He’s excited to be part of a growing industry full of caring, dedicated people while helping the McCarthy team deliver the best customer experience to Canadian veterinarians. 

While he might be new to the McCarthy culture, Kevin is no stranger to the experience of what it means to have animals around. He and his wife’s first home was a hobby farm where they enjoyed caring for chickens, turkeys, goats, sheep and – Kevin’s personal favourite – a donkey. Although they’ve since moved on from the hobby farm, paw prints can still be found around the house as Kevin is the proud owner of a Boston Terrier named Blue. (Who, as Kevin will confidently tell you, “…is literally the best dog ever.”)

At home, Kevin finds himself surrounded by strong women: his wife, Rachel, a courageous firefighter, and his two amazing teenage daughters. When he can steal a moment to himself, Kevin can be found out on the lake paddle-boarding or on the trails riding his bike.

Having spent most of his youth trying to be an athlete, Kevin always believed that being out on the court or the field playing was one of the greatest joys in life. Thanks to his girls, though, he has since revised that to “cheering on your children as they play is the greatest joy in life”
